Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer transporting liquefied gases (e.g., propane, butane).
- Perform offloading at customer sites while adhering to DOT and safety procedures.
- Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and accurately complete required documentation.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT standards.
- Maintain effective communication with dispatch and customers to facilitate timely deliveries.
- Comply with all federal, state, and company regulations for hazardous material transport.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements.
- At least 21 years old.
- Experience in hauling propane, fuel oil, bulk liquids, or other flammable/cryogenic products.
- Familiarity with electronic log (ELD) systems.
- Proficient in reading and speaking English for public communication and regulatory purposes.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, background check, and FMCSA driving record review.
- Demonstrate skills in securing and handling hazardous cargo safely.
Preferred Experience
- Previous driving experience in fuel, chemical, or gas distribution industries.
- Knowledge of propane delivery systems or cryogenic transport.
- A strong safety record and reliability in previous roles.
