Job Description

We are representing a FORTUNE 500 Industrial manufacturing organization who is actively seeking a Licensed Customs Broker. This position will report to the Director of Trade Compliance who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP.

*** This position requires 5 days/week onsite (no hybrid/remote option) ******

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Seeking a Licensed Customs Broker to oversee compliance activities at flagship industrial manufacturing organization
• Customs broker will ensure that all trade compliance requirements are met, including managing the international shipping process, handling export and import documentation, and overseeing the use of licenses, exceptions, and exemptions.
• Conducting internal audits, providing internal training, maintaining internal trade compliance processes and policies, and ensuring that compliance standards are consistently met.
• Work closely with Vice President of Global Trade Compliance to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of all trade activities at the site.
• Oversee trade compliance activities at the manufacturing location, ensuring full adherence to relevant export/import regulations.
• Ensure the proper documentation is in place for international shipments, including Commercial Invoices, Electronic Export Information (EEI), Air Waybill (AWB), export licenses, and any applicable exceptions or exemptions.
• ·Work closely with internal teams (logistics, shipping, legal, etc.) to ensure the smooth processing of shipments.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of Trade Compliance and/or Import/Export experience
• Candidate should have "sense of urgency" and be detail focused.
