Job Description
Summary: The Generator Service Tech well motivated individual with excellent communicating skills who is able to explain maintenance issues to customers as well as facilitate repairs. Share technical information and life experiences with fellow techs. Have the desire and willingness learn and use new technologies.
Responsibilities in the Field: Service, repair, modify, rebuilt power generator and fire pump drivers, perform failure analysis emergency fields on variety brands, operation of Load Bank test machine, compile all repairs, write the paper work and create estimates for repair. Company Vehicle: Keep it clean, operate, drive and maintain parts inventory on truck. All technicians will be required to work some irregular hours including weekends o holidays and under weather conditions specially during hurricane season if is necessary.
Requirements: Tech should be in good physical condition and show mechanical and electrical aptitude. Must have basic hand tools i.e. sockets and wrench set, standard and metric, basic screw drivers, Allen wrenches, pliers and crimpers, etc. Tech should understand basic tool functions, including safe and proper operation.
Experience 3 years minimum: Engines, both (natural gas, LP gas), diesel knowledge, ATS and switch gear experience, PLC engine/generator controller experience, Diesel engine fire pumps and controllers knowledge, ability to conduct Load Bank Test, Able to lift up to 100LB
