HCH Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Helpdesk Technician to support our managed services practice. This is a full-time position.

The Helpdesk Technician will provide technical assistance and support for our client site engagements and managed services opportunities and technology infrastructure. This person will be responsible for supporting various hardware and software components, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues along the way. Candidate must also be experienced and knowledgeable of installing and configuring network software and virtual desktop infrastructures. We are looking for someone with experience with service desk software who can provide day-to-day technical assistance.

The ideal candidate should have an excellent ability to solve problems using your in-depth understanding of network technologies (VDI, Fortinet, and Active Directory). The top candidate will also be a strong team player, able to collaborate with other members of the IT team to ensure everything runs smoothly.

This position requires onsite availability in the Middletown, CT area. Travel will be required in the Middletown, CT area to service client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide level 1 and 2 support
  • Support Cisco/Fortigate/Barracuda
  • Microsoft Exchange Online
  • Develop/Implement password complexity requirements
  • Microsoft Office, PDF software, browser applications, anti-virus/EDR applications (e.g. Crowdstrike, Huntress, etc.)
  • Provide help desk support using Software.
  • Configure network software.
  • Perform network and network device performance monitoring, diagnostics, and tuning
  • Configure/Update firewall configuration and versions, as appropriate to keep current
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the network.
  • Ensure the network operates securely.
  • Providing onsite technical support for clients and HCH
  • Collaborate with other members of the IT team and management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • Certified network professional accreditation. CompTIA certification is a plus

Required Skills & Experience

  • Must have experience with Desktop Software
  • 3+ years previous experience as helpdesk engineer.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of various networking technologies.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in face-to-face customer support.
