Primary Care

A LPN is a nurse who cares for people who are sick, injured, convalescent or disabled. Caring for patients within hospitals, and long term care facilities needs wound Care exp

Assumes assigned patient load of selected patients and is responsible for patients from admission to discharge. Recognizes patients conditions for changes and documents this information. Collaborates with the RN to carry out nursing care. Participates in updating care plans.
Performs a wide range of treatment procedures, including heat and cold therapy; extensive sterile dressing changes, starting maintaining and monitoring IV s; inserting catheters and NG tubes; administering enemas; caring for isolation patients; preparing and administering medications, including IV medications; and setting up for and giving treatments suc as oxygen, suction, and respiratory therapy.
