Job Description
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be a crucial member of the clinical team, providing safe, evidence-based care to patients. Your role will involve exceptional support and the ability to anticipate the needs of clinicians and patients.
Responsibilities
Monitor, document, and communicate patients' vital statistics and measurements.
Observe and note any physical or emotional changes in patients.
Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
Select, prepare, and manage medical supplies and equipment.
Ensure the patient environment is comfortable, organized, safe, and hygienic.
Maintain accurate records of patient information.
Prepare patients for follow-up care post-treatment.
Potentially guide and educate other LPNs.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource on nursing-related issues.
Organize and manage scheduling for patients and necessary medical tests.
Essential Skills
Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, multi-specialty medical settings.
LPN License in the state of NY.
Attendance and reliability.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
1-2 years of medical office experience.
Experience with patient demographics and patient information management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of LPN experience is a plus.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Internal Medicine department located in Poughkeepsie, 243 N. Road. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
