We have a 12+ month contract position for a specialized need for a Mechanical Engineer with the following experience:
Candidates must have extensive compressor and oxygen concentrator background, specialized mechanical engineers in the oxygen concentrator space and with compressor knowledge.
Mechanical Compressor Engineer to support development of miniaturized medical devices,
Expert help with system integration, design optimization, and performance characterization of WOB-L piston pumps, diaphragm pumps, and scroll-type compressors used in applications like oxygen concentrators, ventilators, and other respiratory support devices.
Should be able to test/characterize off-the-shelf designs from Thomas and other compressor manufacturers and propose design changes in order to increase flow, reliability, efficiency.
Must be able to work with other vendors on new compressor concepts, test them in the lab by creating test protocols and metrics and criteria to meet the strict reliability requirements.
