Established in 1953, Per Mar Security Services is the largest, family-owned, full-service security company in the Midwest with more than 2,600 team members, operating in 25 branch locations. The company provides full-service security solutions for homes and businesses including security officer services, smart home automation, burglar and fire alarms, access control, security cameras, alarm monitoring, investigative services and background checks. Responsibilities Stationed at the front entrance of the property, ensuring a visible and authoritative presence to deter illegal activity. Maintain fire lanes clearance, ensuring the safety and accessibility of emergency services. Observe and report any suspicious or illegal activity to the store manager. Work closely with the store management team to address security concerns and follow their instructions regarding any specific procedures or protocols. Qualifications Retired police officer with a valid department gun card (required). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with members of the public and store employees. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, exercising good judgment. High level of situational awareness and attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred. Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
