This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

The Outgoing Mail Unit, Office Assistants, will work independently processing and distributing DMV documents and products to internal and external customers. Must be able to regularly lift and transport bulk mail and materials in trays/buckets weighting up to 50 lbs. from work area to postal carts/cages and then push and pull these carts/cages weighting more than 100 lbs. to the receiving dock. We are seeking an individual who can establish effective working relationships with management, customers, and co-workers to create a positive team environment. Only the most qualified candidates will be interviewed. Mailroom Office Assistants need to work at a fast pace to sort large volumes of mail and being good with your hands and have the ability to sort the mail in a way that ensures delivery is easy and efficient.

Working Conditions

Due to hazardous noise environment from operation of mailing machines, hearing protection is required at all times. Works in an office setting, with artificial light and temperature control that requires prolonged sitting and walking.
