Process Engineer

Redmond, WA

Long term Contract

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in process development.
• Laboratory experience in handling organic chemicals and solvents, and use of relevant laboratory equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform design of experiment (DOE) and data analysis.
• Excellent data handling, documentation, and organization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in relevant degree with background in process development.
• Knowledge of organic chemistry, crystallization process, and transport phenomena.
• Experience with optical metrology and refractive index measurements, e.g. prism coupler.
• Experience with slicing, dicing of a material using diamond wire saw.
• Experience with polishing with mechanical/chemical polishing methods.
• Automating lab equipment using LabVIEW or Java/Python codes.

Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

1. Laboratory Experience with Organic Chemicals and Solvents

• Hands-on experience handling, preparing, and processing organic materials and solutions in a lab setting.
• Familiarity with relevant laboratory equipment and safety protocols.

2. Process Development and Data Analysis

• Demonstrated ability to perform design of experiments (DOE) and analyze experimental/process data.
• Strong skills in documentation, organization, and reporting findings.

3. Problem-Solving and Collaboration

• Ability to identify and resolve issues in electromechanical systems and lab equipment.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams to optimize processes and drive innovation.
