Overview:
The Ranch Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, upkeep, and hospitality of the ranch. This hands-on position blends operational management with an eye for detail, ensuring the property runs smoothly, remains clean and organized, and provides a warm, welcoming environment for family, guests, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Household & Hospitality Management

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and inviting main house and guest quarters.
• Handle daily housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry and organization.
• Plan and prepare home-cooked meals for family, guests, and staff as needed.
• Manage pantry and kitchen inventory, ensuring staples and supplies are always stocked.
• Coordinate grocery and supply orders; maintain relationships with local vendors and suppliers.

Animal Care

• Feed, water, and provide basic care for horses and other animals on the property.
• Oversee veterinary visits, farrier scheduling, and general animal wellness.
• Maintain clean stalls, pens, and surrounding areas.

Operations & Property Oversight

• Supervise ranch staff and contractors; assign daily duties and ensure timely project completion.
• Oversee ongoing projects such as fencing, landscaping, irrigation, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage ranch vehicles, machinery, and tools; schedule servicing and maintain logs.
• Monitor overall property condition and proactively identify maintenance needs.

Administrative & Logistics Management

• Coordinate schedules, deliveries, and maintenance appointments.
• Track and manage budgets for groceries, feed, repairs, and general operations.
• Assist with planning and hosting ranch events, guest visits, or retreats.
• Handle basic recordkeeping for supplies, vendor contacts, and equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a ranch, farm, or large residential estate.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to prioritize and adapt.
• Hands-on approach with comfort in both indoor and outdoor work.
• Experience in staff management and project coordination.
• Familiarity with animal care and basic equipment maintenance.
• Culinary and hospitality skills preferred.
