A Day in the Life:

As our Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality, large-quantity meals according to standardized recipes and nutritional guidelines. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items (breakfasts, lunches, and snacks) while strictly adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP).
• Managing inventory, receiving deliveries, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of food supplies to minimize waste.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment at all times.
• Collaborating with kitchen staff and the School Director to plan menus and
• accommodate special dietary needs or allergies.
• Operating standard commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, griddles, mixers, etc.).
• Maintaining accurate production records, temperature logs, and other required documentation.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and organized individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a vibrant school community.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proven experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen setting (school experience is a plus!).
• Food Handler's Card or Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe) required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
