Job Description
Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to assist with finance and accounting processes such as month-end/year-end close. This role will also prepare analyses for audits and required financial statements. This individual should be detail-oriented, eager to take ownership of his or her areas of responsibility, and have excellent communication skills to work with the finance team as well as cross-departmentally.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for month-end/year-end close process including account reconciliations, reporting, flux analysis, etc.
- Analyze contracts and sales agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Prepare intercompany analysis and support with international entity statutory audits and financial statements.
- Prepare monthly comprehensive financial analysis and business commentaries with respect to the accounting policies, monitoring, and reconciliation activities according to management requirements.
- Work with the finance team to ensure reporting requirements are completed timely and accurately.
- Strong Knowledge of US GAAP
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external parties to identify and improve business processes across the organization.
- Assist with ad hoc analysis and project as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant accounting field
- Advanced understanding of GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, experience using advanced formulas
- CPA qualification is a plus but not required
