You will work with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage highly available and scalable services, ensuring continuous improvement and service reliability. Your primary responsibilities will include: Solution Design & Presentation: Produce and present solution options to project leadership, providing clear definitions of the benefits and tradeoffs of each proposal. Architecture Design Reviews: Participate and present at architecture design reviews, leading the governance activities for the proposed solutions. Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert within your specific product/platform while also demonstrating knowledge beyond a singular service, encompassing multiple interdependent services both on-premise and within SaaS or cloud infrastructures. Design Artifacts: Develop detailed architecture design artifacts (e.g., logical, conceptual, and integration diagrams) for assigned teams and projects. Problem-Solving: Direct solutions to functional and technical problems, ensuring successful project outcomes. Collaboration with Product Teams: Work with product management teams to plan sprints, high-level designs, coding/configuration, QA strategy, and production reliability support. DevOps & CI/CD Pipelines: Utilize tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Splunk, APM tools, and Git to improve and speed up delivery processes. Maintain, extend, and build automated CI/CD pipelines. Incident Management & Recovery: Ensure timely recovery from outages, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures. Automation & Process Improvement: Automate, document, share, educate, and improve processes across teams. Service Support & Documentation: Develop and manage service development and support procedures, tools, and documentation, including scope documents, source code management, and technical support standards. Business Continuity: Assist with planning and executing business recovery procedures, including backup and restoration procedures, vendor agreements, data retention, and restoration planning. Experience & Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in Information Technology, with progressive experience in solution architecture. Experience with Lucene or Elasticsearch: Ability to work with search engines or databases like Elasticsearch to build scalable solutions. Web Development & Database Management: Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Elasticsearch) and designing systems for high availability. Backend Development: Strong hands-on knowledge of backend programming languages such as Java, Go, and Python. CI/CD & DevOps Tools: Proficiency in using DevOps tools and CI/CD practices to improve software delivery speed and quality.
