Our mortgage team is growing and we’re seeking an experienced senior loan processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience as a loan processor, excellent time management and customer service skills, and exceptional attention to detail. The position demands maturity, flexibility, drive to self-learn, ability to work in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail. In addition, position requires face-to face interaction with members as well as the ability to positively promote and sale credit union products.
SR MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
· Confirm that all loan files, credit packages, and disclosure packages comply with company lending policies, as well as state and federal lending guidelines.
· Create and maintain the mortgage loan file, order third party documentation and reports as needed for residential home loans, and assist underwriters in clearing conditions as requested.
· Submit loan file documentation accurately into necessary software programs.
· Collect and verify that all loan documentation, such as title insurance, loan applications, credit reports, appraisals, and income and asset declarations are accurate and passed to underwriting promptly for loan approval.
· Serve as the main point of contact for title companies, real estate agents, mortgage loan officer/ mortgage loan originator, borrowers, and mortgage underwriters to facilitate a timely loan closing.
· Provide exceptional courteous service at all times.
· Provide phone support to both external and internal member/customers. Follow through until full resolution of the concern/request.
· Capable to recognize service needs of members as well as sales opportunities. Further able to assist with such or refer to the appropriate party to assist.
· Familiarity with company policies and procedures regarding applicable functions and able to process transactions in accordance with such.
· Successful and timely completion of all required compliance training.
· Special projects and other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Available to work full–time Monday-Friday with reliable work attendance.
· Work cooperative with both external and internal customers.
· Must be able to coordinate multiple and changing priorities while still meeting deadlines.
· Strong communication skills.
· Must be able to operate general office equipment.
· Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
· Must be capable of delivering exceptional customer service.
· Must be able to perform job functions independently and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
· Must be capable of completing rotating duties.
· Must maintain personal accounts here and elsewhere in good standing in a professional manner.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
· Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 50lbs.
· Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
· Repetitive motions and extensive keyboarding.
· Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.
