Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department night position requiring trauma experience and a compact or TN RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a large hospital Emergency Department with Level I Trauma Center designation
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00–07:00)
• RNs may be floated between like units and campuses within 20 miles, though floating between campuses is rare
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Patient population includes high-acuity emergency and trauma cases
• On-call and weekend shifts required as needed
• No block scheduling, but weekend block may be discussed during interview
• Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience is preferred
• May be required to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) during assignment if applicable, or at least 1 if only two occur
• Returning staff must be separated for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off must be included at time of application; no additional RTO will be considered after offer
• Professional conduct and flexibility with shift needs expected in a high-acuity, fast-paced trauma environment

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active TN or compact RN license required prior to start; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department experience is required, with 3 years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• At least one completed travel assignment required; no first-time travelers unless 3+ years recent experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Driver’s license required for consideration
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• BLS certification required
• Vaccination status documentation required
