Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PICU RN with an active OK or compact license, night shift availability, and advanced life support certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient population includes respiratory/viral illnesses, DKA, neuro, ENT surgery/complex airway, reconstructive urology, ingestion, and sepsis cases
• Special procedures performed include deep sedation for lumbar puncture, PICC, and chest tube placements
• Expected to float within scope to other units and facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
• Uses Epic charting system
• Deliver specialized nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients
• Perform and assist with deep sedation for complex procedures
• Must be willing and able to float to sister facilities as needed
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off is allowed during the assignment; holiday time off requests are not permitted
• Completion of required online modules during orientation is expected
• Two supervisory references are required for consideration
• Block scheduling requests will not be accommodated

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU RN experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (must be completed before start date)
• Current and valid driver’s license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the traveler's name with matching address dated within the last three months required
• Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• No previous employment at Integris within the past 12 months
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• No license hits accepted
