Mon Health Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional to help support our Urology program. Our team of highly qualified providers is focused on bringing technologically advanced care to the patients of West Virginia. Job Summary
The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) shall provide comprehensive management of patients within their given specialty and according to privileges approved by the Medical Staff office. The PA has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of care through collaboration with a physician. The PA manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members. The PA or NP establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The PA or NP shall work in collaboration with a physician.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant training program or Nurse Practitioner program.


Experience:
Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred. Previous urology experience is strongly desired. Previous first assist experience preferred.


Licensure:
Current license or ability to be licensed as a Physician Assistant by the WV Board of Medicine with a certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). OR currently license or ability to be licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the WV Board of Nursing.
Active, unrestricted WV DEA license.
Must be credentialed according to Mon Health Medical Center s Medical Staff By-laws and appointed as Allied Health Professional Affiliate Staff.
Must possess or obtain basic life support (BLS) certification within the probationary period and maintain certification. Must possess or obtain advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) within one year of employment start and maintain certification.
