Job Description

The Wardrobe Attendant is responsible for issuing any part of the uniform that an Ocean Casino Resort team member may need. They will assist with and monitor all areas within the Wardrobe Department.

Position Responsibilities

• Ensures uniforms are distributed and received according to procedures
• Assists in storage and upkeep of uniforms as required
• Maintains inventory control, puts stock away

• Checks and marks for quality of cleaning, repairs and returns of uniforms
• Responsible for counting and sorting soiled linen, and placing soiled linen in carts
• Responsible for correctly entering/manifesting all soiled uniforms into the uniform tracking system before transporting to Cleaners
• Responsible for correctly entering/manifesting all clean uniforms delivered into the uniform tracking system before distributing to Ocean Team Members
• Responsible for placing all clean uniforms in the correct employee Slots
• Prepares all floor bins in accordance with requisitions
• Transfers all uniforms to and from loading dock
• Unpacks all deliveries and shelves items
• Maintains neatness/orderliness of storage rooms, including tasks such as, sweeping and mopping daily, breaking down all cartons, bundling and transferring cartons to loading dock, etc.

Essential Functions

• Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast pace environment
• Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the wardrobe and laundry areas, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting for long periods
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shift hours
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 70 pounds

Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work cohesively with team members
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
